Dr. Robert J. Ginsberg Resident Research Award
(For Top Podium Presentation)
In memory of Dr. Robert Ginsberg (1940 – 2003), this award was established in 2003 and is presented for the most outstanding resident research presentation given at the annual meeting. Dr. Ginsberg was a Canadian thoracic surgeon, who became one of the most recognized icons in thoracic oncology. He was the instigator of clinical trials in thoracic surgery.

Dr. André Duranceau Resident Research Award

This award was created in 2015 and named after Dr. Duranceau, when he presented the award at the CATS meeting in September 2016. Dr. Duranceau is among the pioneers in esophageal function studies.
